{"id":49,"date":"2016-05-16T11:20:50","date_gmt":"2016-05-16T11:20:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cordwainer.co.uk\/?p=49"},"modified":"2016-07-07T09:51:41","modified_gmt":"2016-07-07T09:51:41","slug":"keith-loney-elected-chairman-of-the-ward-club","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cordwainer.co.uk\/?p=49","title":{"rendered":"Keith Loney elected Chairman of the Ward Club"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ward of Cordwainer Club Annual General Meeting was held at Tallow Chandlers&#8217; Hall on 6 April.<\/p>\n<p>Keith Lo<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-150 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/cordwainer.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/keith-Loney-300x278.jpg\" alt=\"keith Loney\" width=\"232\" height=\"215\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cordwainer.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/keith-Loney-300x278.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cordwainer.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/keith-Loney-1024x950.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/cordwainer.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/keith-Loney.jpg 1164w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 232px) 100vw, 232px\" \/>ney was elected Chairman of the Club, succeeding Darren Clayton. \u00a0Keith was Deputy Chief Executive of the Association of British Insurers when it was based in Aldermary House in the Ward. \u00a0Subsequently he was involved in establishing Pool Re and worked in the acedemic field specialising in insurance issues. \u00a0More recently Keith was a councillor in Sevenoaks, including serving for a year as Mayor. \u00a0The picture shows Keith wearing the insignia of the Mayor of Sevenoaks.<\/p>\n<p>The new Deputy Chairman is Jon Norton. a Director at Wells Fargo Capital Finance. \u00a0Sam Walker of Aberdeen Asset Management has joined the Committee.<\/p>\n<p>The Chairman&#8217;s \u00a0programme for the year includes visits to the Globe Theatre, the College of Arms, Lincoln&#8217;s Inn and the Dickens Museum.<\/p>\n<p>Following the AGM the Ward Club held its annual lunch at which the guest speaker was Timothy Duke, the Norroy and Ulster King of Arms.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ward of Cordwainer Club Annual General Meeting was held at Tallow Chandlers&#8217; Hall on 6 April.
